Bu ünitede fiziksel görünüş ve kişilik özelliklerini tarif etmeyi, karşılaştırma yapmayı öğreneceğiz.
1. Fiziksel Görünüş Tarifi (Describing Physical Appearance)
Yapı: Özne + is/are + sıfat
Yapı: Özne + has/have + isim
Örnekler:
She is tall and slim. (O uzun boylu ve ince.)
He has short black hair. (Onun kısa siyah saçı var.)
My sister has curly brown hair. (Kız kardeşimin kıvırcık kahverengi saçı var.)
They are young and beautiful. (Onlar genç ve güzeller.)
2. Kişilik Tarifi (Describing Personality)
Yapı: Özne + is/are + kişilik sıfatı
Örnekler:
My best friend is very kind and generous. (En yakın arkadaşım çok nazik ve cömert.)
He is funny and outgoing. (O komik ve sosyal.)
She is hardworking but shy. (O çalışkan ama utangaç.)
3. Comparative (Karşılaştırma)
İki kişiyi veya şeyi karşılaştırırken kullanılır.
Kısa sıfatlar: sıfat + er + than
Uzun sıfatlar: more + sıfat + than

4. Superlative (En Üstünlük)
Üç veya daha fazla şey arasında en üstün olanı belirtir.
Kısa sıfatlar: the + sıfat + est
Uzun sıfatlar: the most + sıfat
Örnekler:
She is the tallest girl in the class. (O sınıftaki en uzun kız.)
He is the most intelligent student. (O en zeki öğrenci.)
İpucu: "good" ve "bad" düzensiz sıfatlardır: good - better - the best / bad - worse - the worst
